Forever connected

It has become rare in today's time to see kids floating paper boats in puddle of rain water. Immersing in their world of imagination. Kids now a days are glued to television screens wired via computer, mobile devices, Ps4, Xbox, Nintendo Wi.

The open spaces has been turned into pay recreational parks or a buildings in open space surrounded by congested commercial buildings. Even on society grounds kids are mostly barred from playing most of the games as they fear loss of property of automobiles or french windows.
Educational pressure was always there to succeed in an unequal system which believes in following orders and GPA as a parameter to secure employment. Most of the successful companies has changed polices relating to recruitment these days. There was a time when less emphasis was given to sports and extracurricular activities. In recent times media has put spotlight on new fields. The enhancements in the field of sports science and new technology has given arise in supply for professionals having the required set of skills to fulfill such demands in traditional and fields which is still emerging.

India has become a favored emerging economy which provides new career opportunities competing at global stage. Reality shows on television with young participants and pressure to perform to stay ahead in a race has started creating a herd of stressed, unhappy, materialistic youths who have 24 X 7 connectivity with everyone through social media. Yes, I am also an addict and slave to social media but there is no alternative. Like it or not even if we decide to opt out from digital world from birth we will still have our birth and death records stored in some government server.

Our dependency on technology has helped us to evolve but it has also made us dumb and parallelized towards human emotions. We are trying not to be over dependent but what will happen to our digital data if one day it is wiped by a apocalypse through Electromagnetic pulse interference or the computer finds it's own conscience and it decides we are not fit for existence. We will become threat to our own intellect thoughts and creations.

To conclude my thoughts why are we turning ourselves into a machine. A machine was made to make life easier. We started with fire and wheel which led us to progress through history. In search of happiness we even formed religion and meditation but in today's world it has become temporary relief within the confinement of four walls as anxiety and stress hits us. We need to swim out to survive a system in a universe full of possibilities for that we need to free ourselves from 24 X 7 connected digital world.
