Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 Solution For Disk Defragmenter


Aim: To Fix the Disk Defragmenter error message while Defragmentering caused by Kaspersky

Note: Please discontent your internet connection before following procedure below

Procedure: 
1] Open "Kaspersky"
2] Go to "Settings" on top right hand side positioned at the corner of the console 
3] From The Left Panel bottom you will find "options" tab below the "My Update Center"
4] Click on the "option" tab 
5] You will find out a new inline window named "Self Defense"
6] Remove the tick "Enable Self Defense"
7] Click "Apply" then "OK" it.
8] You will get a notification message at the right bottom corner or get yellow colored fix message in the main console 
9] Now wait for about a minute or so then open "Disk Defragmenter" [Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Defragmenter] 
10] First "analyze" the drive you want defrag then "Defragment" it 
11] After you are done make sure reenable your kaspersky "Self Defense" by clicking on fix on the main console window or going to "options" in reverser and reenableing it by ticking back "Enable Self Defense"then click "Apply" then "OK"

In some cases you may have to exclude this files in Kaspersky by adding the the following location by browsing:

C:\WINDOWS\system32

defragfat
defragntfs 

the above to objects could be excluded from Kaspersky - Settings - Threats and exclusions - [exclusions]Settings- then add the file - Click Apply and then Ok

It is advised you to give a "Full System Scan" after this process then Restart your computer after the scan to prevent mal ware and Trojan attack.
